Welcome to the official website of the Tuban National Center for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (TNC-PCVE). As the Director, I am proud to introduce you to our center, a symbol of hope and resilience in the Federal Republic of Somalia. Founded under the Prime Minister’s Office, our center embodies our nation’s dedication to fighting violent extremism and building a secure, just, and prosperous Somalia.

At TNC-PCVE, our vision is to empower every community level, uniting in rejecting violent extremist ideologies. Our comprehensive mission involves engaging both state and non-state actors in a joint effort to protect our nation and its people from violent extremism and Khawarij ideas, ensuring peace and the right path. We adopt a ‘whole-of-government’ and ‘whole-of-society’ approach, making our strategies inclusive and effective. Our mandate is diverse and well-defined. We spearhead and coordinate efforts across different agencies and government levels, focusing on a soft operations approach that emphasizes dialogue and understanding rather than force.
